Jackie is a cop, and he sends in his group of men to a warehouse. A bunch of bad guys have set traps for all his men and kill all of them. The "cop killers" are teens. At the end of the movie, he finds out that this mysterious young man who helps him is actually someone he helped as a young child. |

Also Jackie is not just an actor he is an amazing martial artist in real life. In his early days Martial Arts was his life not acting. |

How can he say in a free society the Chinese people will do whatever they want like it's a bad thing? I agree with the legislators who said "Chinese people aren't pets" and "People around the world are running their own countries. Why can't the Chinese?"
I'm not even Chinese, but I find Jackie Chan's pro-authoritarian government stance truly disgusting. |

I saw it on an MTV Movie Awards tribute a few years ago, honoring Jackie Chan. In one of the clips, he punches a girl's breast, and it was hysterical. Does anyone know the title of that movie? |

Im planning to give the movie as part of a gift to someone for Christmas so I think its too late to go to the store and get them to order it in. Do you agree/disagree? If so, how far do you think the Chinese will go with doing what they want? Can the comments truly be perceived as racist since Chan is Chinese? |

The Forbidden Kingdom is a film collaboration between Jackie Chan and Jet Li, with action choreography by Yuen Woo-ping. The film is currently in production as of July 11, 2007. As of April 2007 the film is officially titled The Forbidden Kingdom, before it had been often referred to as The J & J Project. Director Rob Minkoff (who previously helmed such films as The Lion King and the Stuart Little films) will be behind the camera while Yuen Woo Ping will handle the fight choreography.

It was comedy, I think it's from 1990-2000
It was a story about man, whos friend died and he is now caring about friend's little sister. That girl grow up fast (it was very funny in movie - one moment she was child, next she was young adult)
They went on a ship, I don't remember why, they were parodying action anime games, like Tekken and Street Fighter.
Finally that two felt in love with one another...
Please, tell me what was that movie!

I thought that he went to a chinese opera school as a child along with Sammo Hung and Yuen Biao. I see that people don't respect him because of his comedic movies but don't they teach martial arts at the chinese opera schools? |

Some people say jet li is just style but isn't that what martial ARTS is. It's an art. If you can only beat someone up who cares. If you look good while doing it that's cool. Jet li is the best out of every one who has ever lived. That's my oppinion. |

There was this scene where he was being held captive (or something) with some mafia (of white guys) and he was pretending to talk on the phone to someone but some of the gangsters go to their other phone to listen to his conversation to realize that he isn't talking to anyone on the phone... It's not "Rumble in the Bronx" but it's a bit like it. Any guesses? |

If most of MMA fighters so call great martial art can they know how fall down 20 feet up in the air? or maybe a person that is big and strong can be a MMA fighter. I don't see too many MMA fighters with real skill. I guess MMA is like person fight in the street. |

I just read that Jackie Chan did not enjoy making the rush hour trilogy and says he doesn't understand American humor. He also says the jokes and humor in these movies would be lost on Chinese audiences. Frankly I don't think any of the RH movies are all that funny but probably not for the same reasons.
Are there any Chinese Y/A participants that could give an idea of what a Chinese audience would consider humorous? |

Having been a Bruce fan for years, but aware his films were so-so but the action terrific, then Jackie being a terrific martial artist and some of his early films showed a more serious side to him, I just never thought I would like Jet Li. I never liked hero ,much as I tried, but think, Fearless, Once upon a time in China trilogy and the Tai Chi Master are all superb, especially Fearless. Are there better out there, or could you pick one from these three. Jet was a wushu champion in China I think on 4 occasions, so as a pur martial artist, he would be my favourite. I also think Jet is the best actor of the three. What does anyone else think? Thanks!
It's just I recall an interview Bruce did on a Canadian show. He said he would like to be thought of as a great martial arts actor. To my mind he was good, and I agree too he was a pioneer - would there have been Jet or Jackie without Bruce? I just feel Jet Li has matured as an actor and picked some interesting films. That said I think Fist of Fury is Bruce's best by some way. |

Him and his one enemy are in one room full of toys and there are thousands of balloons wrapped up in nets. They come into that room fighting and then the man starts to shoot and all the people in the room runs out and the balloons come down and stuff...I only remember that scene and could you guys help me with the name. |

Most people think Bruce could whup Jackie 'cos he did, but I'm talking about overall genius. I think they are both genius but in different ways. Bruce is like a Greek tragic genius, doomed to die young....Jackie is a comic genius. But Jackie has a wider repertoire even of martial arts, IMHO |

Keep in mind that although Jackie is a bit faster with his hands, he was never a pro fighter. Jet Li was a 5 time world chinese boxing champ before making a movie. |

my vote is for jackie, because jackie uses his own stunts and jet li uses a camera crew and special effects. Jackie knows that drunken fist and jet-li looks like a sock puppet. |

There was this scene where he was being held captive (or something) with some mafia (of white guys) and he was pretending to talk on the phone to someone but some of the gangsters go to their other phone to listen to his conversation to realize that he isn't talking to anyone on the phone... It's not "Rumble in the Bronx" but it's a bit like it. Any guesses? |

It was comedy, I think it's from 1990-2000
It was a story about man, whos friend died and he is now caring about friend's little sister. That girl grow up fast (it was very funny in movie - one moment she was child, next she was young adult)
They went on a ship, I don't remember why, they were parodying action anime games, like Tekken and Street Fighter.
Finally that two felt in love with one another...

Anyway, it's probably going to take a Jackie Chan guru to remember, but there's this piano that's being hoisted in the air. For some unimaginable reason, a poodle is sitting on the piano. Jackie is running from some bad guys, and they knock into the guys hoisting the piano. Jackie makes a flying leap to catch the poodle.

Started laughin after the pair had an argument and Carter walked away to that club --- it was after the part when Jackie Chan said "You're not my brother" i started laughing because the song was really ironic - like I don't love you or something.... anyone know? |

I've been searching everywhere with no luck. Can anyone give me any suggestions? Im planning to give the movie as part of a gift to someone for Christmas so I think its too late to go to the store and get them to order it in. I actually once asked a movie store to order it and they couldnt get any copies anyway. Please help! |

I don't get it, but I guess my other question got deleted somehow or never posted.
Anyway, it's probably going to take a Jackie Chan guru to remember, but there's this piano that's being hoisted in the air. For some unimaginable reason, a poodle is sitting on the piano. Jackie is running from some bad guys, and they knock into the guys hoisting the piano. Jackie makes a flying leap to catch the poodle.
I'm pretty sure it's not Rumble in the Bronx . . . |

In this movie there is a scene where Jackie busts into a pool-hall and beats up a bunch of punks. On Youtube, if you search out "Rumble in the Bronx 6-9" the song is playing from 2:27-2:48. Its a little hard to hear it, but its a famous track I figure someone must know- any ideas? |

It was comedy, I think it's from 1990-2000
It was a story about man, whos friend died and he is now caring about friend's little sister. That girl grow up fast (it was very funny in movie - one moment she was child, next she was young adult)
They went on a ship, I don't remember why, they were parodying action anime games, like Tekken and Street Fighter.
Finally that two felt in love with one another...
Please, tell me what was that movie!
