Coldplay headlines Glastonbury with a cameo from Michael J. Fox

On June 26-30, the iconic Glastonbury music festival took place, and here are details on the headliners that graced the stage.. This year’s festival has had one of the best runs, with a lot of big names, amazing performances, and exciting cameos.

Returning to the stage to headline for the fifth time ever, Coldplay performed with a big surprise. Legendary actor, Michael J. Fox joined them in their performance.

“With his Chuck Berry riff and the way he punched Biff: ladies and gentlemen, please welcome Michael J. Fox,” Chris Martin had said introducing him.

Fox, who was diagnosed with Parkinson’s disease in the 90s, was wheelchaired onto the stage holding a guitar. He played in the song “Fix You”, as the band cheered him on.

After the performance, Martin stated “Especially thank you to the main reason we’re in the band, because of watching Back to the Future, so thank you to our hero forever and one of the most amazing people on earth, Mr. Michael J. Fox. Thank you Michael J. Fox.” he said towards the actor.

On an Instagram post shared by Fox the next day, he said “Oh yeah in case you were wondering… it was f****** mind blowing. There is a time for every band and a band for every time. This is Coldplay’s time.”

In addition, the band had also posted on their socials with the caption “Thank you Michael J. Fox for making our dream come true,”.

It was truly another iconic performance by Coldplay, and if that wasn’t enough, actor Tom Cruise, and Martin’s partner Dakota Johnson just so happened to be watching from the sidelines as well.
